Christian loves his Daddy

Christian loves when Dan comes home, it's so fun to see his reactions when Dan walks in the door- he throws his hands in the air and shouts "Daddy!" After that, him and Dan are off to the races- it's pure Disneyland fun until bedtime. Here are some fun pictures of the two of them goofing off.

Family Update

Okay, well we are finally settling into being a family of four... weird, but fun. To tell you the truth, we had a little rough start. When Evan was born, he had really low blood sugar, and I didn't get to see or hold him for about 5 hours until he was stable and doing well. He was very sleepy the whole time we were in the hospital and he got jaundice pretty bad. After we were discharged we had to go back the next day for a jaundice check... which had gotten worse but not bad enough to do light therapy, they told us to come back on Monday and have it checked again- me and Dan thought he was doing better, he had actually been eating better the day before and we were hopeful. But we shot ourselves in the foot because he had actually gotten worse. We went in to see the doctor about his jaundice count and to have him circumcised (poor guy). The doctor ordered some jaundice lights to come to our home for Evan. As the day progressed no matter what I did, I could not get Evan to wake up enough to eat for longer than 30 seconds- I called the pediatricians and they said that if he hadn't eaten in a half hour to call back. Well to make a long story shorter, they ended up admitting us to the hospital so they could get an IV into Evan put him under the jaundice lights. I was a wreck! Dan was awesome and helped me get through it. After 24 hours in the hospital, he was doing much better all around and they let us go home. Since than things have been going really well. He eats and sleeps pretty good, and if it's possible- he is even a more "chill" baby than Christian, which I think is pretty hard to beat. Christian still likes Evan very much and is very sweet with him and we are getting ready to move Evan into the crib in Christian's room which, I'm sure, will be a little bit of an adventure. All in all, we are very happy, a little tired, but happy.
