Like many 3 year olds Christian has a lot of fears, in general he deals with them pretty well. One of these fears is like one we all had, scared of the dark/going to sleep/monsters in your room. One night when I was putting Christian to bed, I tickled his tummy and sang him a lullaby like I always do and then instead of rolling over with his blanky he propped his pillow vertically against his head board and sat right up against it. I looked at him funny and said "Buddy don't you want to lay down?" and he said "No, if I do this they I can see them but they can't see me" uhhhhhh, okay? I let him stay that way and in about 15 minutes I went back to check on him and he was a sleep and slouched down, so I fixed his pillow and laid him down and he curled up with his blanky and kept sleeping. This happened for pretty consistently for about 2 1/2 weeks, then a couple nights he didn't do it and I thought he was over whatever fear he was battling, but we have resumed the sitting up straight to fall asleep routine once again. I think it's cute and endearing, I love walking by his room after I have said good night to him because when I peak in he either just waves and smiles at me or says "hi mom, I love you!" He is adorable.

Dropping Christian Off
This morning when I was dropping Christian off at preschool, as he was getting out of his car seat he turned to Evan and said "Evan are you going to be a good boy for Mommy while I am at preschool? Because you need to be a good boy and I will see you in just a little bit!"
It was so cute I about died. :)

What we've been up to
Why is it so hard to blog in January and February? I will tell you why, because you are so hung over from the Christmas festivities and crap you ate you kind of just go into survival mode until your brain finally crawls from its hiding place and resumes normal activity.
For the past couple of weeks our family has been sick and I am not talking a little stuffy nose and a cough, I mean sick. Dan was out for almost a solid week, couldn't get out of bed-someone ran him over with a truck twice-sick. And the boys followed suit. They both got fevers and were so sluggish I took them to the doctors. Evan had a double ear infection and Christian had pneumonia! AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! But we have been on antibiotics and everyone is slowing getting back to normal. Hopefully Christian will be able to get back to preschool soon. As for me I have been as a healthy as a horse, knock on wood, hopefully I haven't just jinxed myself by saying that.
We were healthy enough to celebrate Valentine's Day. On Sunday Dan made us heart tacos.
The boys and I decorated the kitchen in hearts.
And somewhere in between all the happenings, Christian got a hold of the camera and took some pics, here's my favorite one of Evan. Can't you hear him saying "Cheeeeeeeessssse!" ha ha Love it!
