Happy Anniversary

Our anniversary was last Thursday July 16th we have been married for 6 years and together for 9- it seems so crazy how fast time has flown. We were all set to go with Bombay House Food and Harry Potter tickets in the mix until Dan came home Wednesday afternoon sick. He became even more sick Thursday and hit temps of 103 degrees for about 2 days straight. The poor guy :( We are planning on celebrating sometime this week instead. I apologize for all the posts without pics, my card reader got packed and I haven't sent Dan to dig it out of storage yet. We have had a great July and I can't wait to post more later with pics :)

Funny Story

Okay so I'm not one to shove my political views in anyone's face but this story is hilarious. It happened to Dan's friend Barbara who he use to work with at prosper.

She said she was at a friends house, and these friends were very liberal democrats. They have this cute little girl that she was talking with. She said "What do you want to be when you grow up?" And the little girl said "I want to be the president of the United States." Barbara told her that was a great goal. She then asked her "If you become the president what would you do very first?" The little girl replied "I would give food and houses to all the homeless people." Barbara said her parents were smiling as big as possible and just beaming. Then Barbara said, "Well you know you don't have to wait to be president to help homeless people. How about you come over and mow my lawn, weed the garden, and sweep up. And when you are done I will give you fifty dollars and we will go to the grocery store where a homeless man hangs out and you can give him the money." The little girl was quite for a few seconds and then said "Why don't we just go get him and take him to your house, then he can mow the lawn, weed the garden and sweep up and then you can just give him the money?" Barbara then said "Welcome to the Republican Party." Barbara says that the little girls parents are still not talking to her.

It's Official

No.... I'm not pregnant! But our condo is officially sold! Hooray!!! It has been stressful to say the least trying to sell and buy a home at the same time. But things went relatively smooth once our condo went under contract. We had a successful move to a... storage unit. I know kind of disappointing right? We had to extend our contract on the home we are trying to purchase, and we also need to fix it up before we move in. So for the first couple of days stayed with Dan's parents and then we moved ourselves over to my parents to stay the rest of the time until we move into our new home. Anyway, I have a lot of pictures to post and such, but I need to find my camera amidst the mess and chaos. I just wanted to post to let everyone know what was up with our family. I'll post again soon :)
