White Crayons

So... I'm just wondering, what's the deal with white crayons. Who decided that every box needs one. Okay, let me explain myself. Christian loves to color, and he'll take a crayon out of the box and color with it for awhile and then he'll choose another color and so on. Well inevitably he always chooses the white crayon in this process. He tries to color with it and starts going, "uh-oh, uh-oh" he hands it to me because he thinks it's broken and that I can fix it. How on earth do you explain to a 1 1/2 year old that it's not broken, it's just that we are coloring on white paper with a white crayon. Of course I could give him some colored paper to color on, but who wants to dish out the cash for that to just have scribbles done on it. So I have decided just to throw away the stupid white crayon for now. So I ask again, is it really necessary to have a white crayon in every box?

Random Pics of Christian

This is a "I am a child of God" crown that Christian colored in nursery, you would think by his huge smile that he just looovvvveesss nursery, but do not be mistaken! He's still very wary of the whole set up. Oh well, here's hoping that one day I won't have to go to nursery any more :)

Dan recently went to the eye doctor to have his eyes checked and of course came home wearing these awesome glasses because his eyes were dilated. Christian thought he was pretty awesome when he figured out how to wear the glasses and kept them on for a while.

Christian is still pretty small for his age and loves to cram himself into small places, he thought it was so awesome when Dan picked him up in the bucket and carried him around, what a goof ball!

Christmas 2008!

Christmas was a blast this year! Christian loved opening his presents, he didn't rip into them, he took his time but loved finding what was inside he kept saying "Oooohhh!!" It was so cute. We had a long day on Christmas, we did our own Christmas and then we headed over to my parents for a big breakfast and a quick chance to talk to my brother Davy who's on a mission in New York right now. Then at about four we headed over to Dan's parents house to open more presents and eat dinner. By the time 6:00 rolled around we were all exhausted so we headed home to laze around for the rest of the night. For Christmas Christian got a play kitchen, we put it together when he went to bed that night so in the morning when he saw it he was so excited. I think he probably played with it most of the day and still plays with it quite a bit. It was so nice to finally get him so toys that were a little more age appropriate :) I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

Snow Fun with Daddy

Winter this year has been so fun with Christian because he is finally big enough to get how to play in the snow and he likes it. Here are some fun pictures of Dan and Christian playing outside.
