We had a fantastic Christmas this year. We snuck up to the cabin, just our family, and had very peaceful and quiet Christmas. It was heaven!
I almost got all of the pics in order, until the very last two which I realized I had missed, but they were so cute I couldn't leave them out. Don't you just love blogger.
Dan's parents came up Sunday to the cabin, we lazed around all day, and Evan our little snuggler couldn't resist snuggling with grandma in her little bed she made.
Christmas Eve we left bright and early in the morning. We were not even sure if we were going to make it up to the cabin so we wanted plenty of time to come back to Orem and reset up the Christmas tree and decorations if we had too. When we got there Dan took off on the 4 wheeler by himself to see if he could make it up. He came back 5 minutes later, and I thought because he was gone for such a short time we weren't going to be able to make it up, but the roads were great and cruised right on up and right back in record time. We loaded us and the kids onto the 4 wheeler and off we went!
Decorating the cabin Christmas Eve
Evan was our tree topper :)
All set up and ready for Santa
At about 4:30 in the morning Christian came into our room because he had had a bad dream. We pulled him to bed to help him settle down and once he had settled down her realized that there was a good possibility Santa had come! He sat up and saw the sheet hanging in the hall way (we hang a sheet in between doors in the hallway so you can't peek on Santa) and said "What's that" we told him it was for no peeking, "Let's go see if he came!" We told him it was still the middle of the night and we didn't want to check yet because he might not have made it to the cabin yet. He settled down for a second and then said "I have to go to the bathroom" sneaky little dude! Of course he made a courageous go for the sheet but Dan caught him before he could snatch it and took him to the bathroom. Dan brought him back to our bed because we knew that if we put him back in bed with Evan we would have 2 boys awake and very excited. So he stayed in our bed and practically vibrated with excitement until he finally fell asleep around 6:30 and then Evan woke up at...
Thankfully because we had no where to go, me and Dan snoozed on and off that morning while the kids played with their toys.
Oh I lied, I guess I have more pics out of order, these three are from Christmas Eve. Don't you love Evan's face, I can practically hear him saying "Cheese!"
Christmas morning and they were so excited to see what Santa had brought them!
Evan enjoying a little of his Christmas cereal
Christian got a remote control car from his cousins, and he loves it!
And of course even though there was tons of snow, the boys would not take no as answer when it came to the 4 wheeler. Evan broke out on tears every time Dan would go without him.
We had such a lazy Christmas day, so different then it usually is. This is us playing in the snow, do you love that huge piece of snow Christian is carrying around? The snow was pretty solid, and he would pick up pieces and chuck them out you and say "Snow Tag!"
Merry, Merry Christmas! :)
