Oh crap! I am one of those people who lets a whole month pass without blogging a single thing! It is not because there has been a lack of nothing to blog, it just has been BUSY!!! The second. weekend in may we went to the cabin and painted two rooms and installed a dishwasher for Dan's parents. The third weekend we went to Goblin Valley!!!!!! We had a blast, it was a little cold the first couple of days but nothing a little sweat shirt and a warm fire couldn't fix. We went with Jon and Melissa and their three little boys. It was little boy heaven, no one was ever bored!
Dan found caterpillars and the boys were just going nuts! I think this one finally escaped Evan's loving rough hands.
Evan couldn't make it through the day without his nap, so after a lot of crying he finally gave it up and fell asleep on Dan's back.
I found some goblins playing peek-a-boo
This picture is out of order, and I'm too lazy to fix it- on Saturday before we packed up to come home we hiked part of little wild horse canyon. This is super fun because the canyon walls get closer and closer together the farther you go. Unfortunately our camera decided to give up the ghost right after this pic at the beginning of the hike so we didn't get to take any of the funner pictures along the hike :( I was so proud of Christian, he hiked the whole thing!
More fun at Goblin Vally with Evan and his cousin Korver
Our first peak into Goblin Valley, don't we all look so lovely after our night sleeping in the tent :)
Little Goblins!
Our super awesome camp spot we found. All the reserved camping spots were in use so we had to find out own. We found the awesome place with a lot of trees and a dried up river bed. The night we set up camp we were cooking dinner and Melissa walked over to look at something by the river bed and then river bed which had just a few puddles in it when we first showed up, was full of gushing water!!! It stayed that way the whole night and when we woke up it was gone never to return again. Another weird thing that happened was on the last morning we were there we were making breakfast and I thought I heard bees, I look up at the tree and swarm of honey bees was circling the tree! They had not been there the whole time we were camping, it was so weird. They were busy putting together a new nest and let us be. When were weren't in Goblin Valley hiking around the boys spent there time in the dirt at camp. Both boys got their first taste of a red ant bite, oh ouchy! But both survived to tale the tale ;)
We had a super fun time and can't wait to go back with even MORE cousins. Seriously even if you are not campers, you've got to go to Goblin Vally, it is super fun and such a unique experience.
